GOATS…
Zdeno Chara vs Kyrie Irving
Zdeno Chara takes a puck right to his face last night in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup. Look at the video-
Did whatever he could to get back on the bench next to his team mates.
From CBS Boston-
“Chara did not return to the ice for the remainder of the second period, but he did return to the bench in the third period, wearing a full face shield. He did not, however, take any shifts in the third period.
Defenseman Brandon Carlo said that Chara could “barely talk” while on the bench.
“Just shows his great leadership. He’s there to support the guys,” Carlo said. “Obviously his mouth has some blood and I don’t know what’s going on there. But he can barely talk and he’s out there supporting us, so just his leadership is on a whole other level, especially during this final round. He’s always there for us, he’s been great communicating, and just wants to be there as a support valve.”
What did Kyrie Irving do in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals against Cleveland? Had elective surgery to fix a deviated septum.

From Sports Illustrated- “Celtics superstar Kyrie Irving was noticeably missing from the sidelines in Boston’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday. But, as it turns out, he had a good reason.
Team president of basketball operations Danny Ainge said Monday that Irving was recovering from deviated septum surgery – a nasal procedure.
“Kyrie had a deviated septum, had some surgery on that, and so I don’t think he wanted to be seen,” Ainge told ESPN. “He’s a really good-looking guy. He can’t ruin his movie career.”
